Collection Notice

The personal information the prospective tenant provides in this application or collected from other sources is necessary for the Agent to verify the Applicant’s identity and to process and evaluate the application. If the application is successful, personal information collected about the Applicant/s may be disclosed for the purpose for which it was collected, to other parties including to the lessor, referees, other agents and third party operators of tenancy reference databases. Information already held on tenancy reference databases may also be disclosed to the Agent and/or Landlord.

If the Applicant/s are successful and enter into a Residential Tenancy Agreement, and if the Applicant fails to comply with their obligations under that Agreement, that fact and other relevant personal information collected about the Applicant during the course of the tenancy may also be disclosed to the Lessor, third party operators of the tenancy/reference databases and/or other agents.

DISCLAIMER

Pets

If a “pet” is included in this Application for Tenancy, the Applicant agrees to sign an RTT endorsed clause attached to the Tenancy Agreement stating that the Tenant will be responsible for any repairs to the interior of the property and grounds, and for any item lost or damaged caused by the animal. The Tenant/s are responsible for the interior and exterior of the property being professionally treated for fleas, after the carpets have been professionally cleaned, on vacation of the property. A copy of the receipts are required to be provided to the property manager at the time of the final inspection.

Gardens

If the property the Applicant is applying for has a garden or courtyard, the Applicant agrees that as part of this Application, the upkeep and watering of the grounds is the responsibility of the Tenant under the terms of the Tenancy Agreement.

Payment of Rent

The Applicant agrees that as part of this Application, the payment of rent is to be made in advance by way of cheque, money order or by BPAY or Direct Debit. The Applicant acknowledges that upon signing this Application, these are the only options available for paying rent.

The Applicant also agrees that on the twelve month anniversary of the commencement of the Tenancy the rent will be increased. The amount of the increase will be subject to market review and 8 weeks notice of the increased amount will be served on the Tenant prior to the annual anniversary date, in accordance with Schedule 1 (Clauses 33 onwards) of the Residential Tenancies Act 1997.

Declaration

I, the applicant, acknowledge that this is an application to lease this property and that my application is subject to the owner’s approval and the availability of the premises on the due date. I hereby offer to rent the property from the owner under a Tenancy Agreement to be prepared by the Agent pursuant to the Residential Tenancies Act 1997. I acknowledge that I will be required to pay rent in advance and a bond equivalent to four (4) week’s rent, by way of a money order or a bank cheque, upon signing the Tenancy Agreement, and that this application is subject to approval from the Owner/Lessor.

I do solemnly and sincerely declare that I am not a bankrupt or an undischarged bankrupt and affirm that the above information is true and correct, and given of my own free will.

I CONFIRM THAT I HAVE INSPECTED THE PREMISES I AM APPLYING FOR AND AS A PART OF THIS APPLICATION I DECLARE THAT I ACCEPT THE CONDITION OF THE PREMISES AS AT THE DATE OF THIS APPLICATION.

I authorise the Agent to obtain details of my credit worthiness from the Owner/Agent of my current and/or previous residence, my personal referees, any record, listing or database of defaults by tenants. If I default under a rental agreement the Agent may disclose details of any such default to any person whom the Agent reasonably considers has an interest in receiving such information, this may include a tenancy database.
